Before purchasing your ticket(s), please note:

  • No Refunds or Exchanges: There will be no refunds or exchanges except in the event of a weather cancellation.

  • Parking: Parking is located in an external parking lot at 625 Mt. Auburn St. in Cambridge (about a 5 to10 minute walk to the Cemetery entrance). If you have accessibility concerns, you will be able to park within the Cemetery. A map with additional parking instructions will be emailed to all ticket holders before your event date. Public parking costs $10 if secured with your tickets in advance, or $12 if you pay onsite that evening. Friends of Mount Auburn members qualify for free parking by showing their digital membership cards.

  • When to Arrive: We ask that attendees arrive within the 30-minute window of their timed ticket entry so that we can better control parking, check-in, and event flow (e.g. if your ticket is for 5:30pm-6:00pm, check-in should be no earlier than 5:30pm and no later than 6:00pm). Please note that due to capacity restrictions, we will not be able to allow you into the event outside of your ticket window.

  • Tickets: There is no need to print your tickets. Tickets will be scanned on your cell phone. Please try to have your tickets pulled up before you arrive at the Check-In tent. If you are having trouble finding your tickets, search for an email with the subject “Order confirmation for SOLSTICE 2026”

  • Food & Beverage: Ovenbird Cafe will have sweet and savory treats as well as hot drinks available within the SOLSTICE Circle hospitality area in Asa Gray Garden. Ticket purchasers may choose the “Food & Beverage Individual Pass” as an add-on to their ticket transaction to enjoy one hand pie, one cookie or grab n go snack, and unlimited hot beverages per person from the SOLSTICE Circle. Food will also be available a la carte, but the Food & Beverage Individual Pass can only be purchased in advance. Vegan and Gluten Free options will be available upon request.

  • For Your Safety: We strongly encourage attendees to dress warmly and wear suitable footwear. SOLSTICE is primarily an outdoor event and the route includes small hills, some stairs, pavement, and uneven terrain. Attendees must follow all instructions and guidance from Event Staff. Please help us protect this historic landscape and do not stray from the event grounds and illuminated paths, even if you are familiar with the Cemetery and have a loved one buried here. Please let us know in advance if you will require any accessibility accommodations.

  • Giving Back: This year, the Friends of Mount Auburn are collecting nonperishable foods for our local community in need. More information to come!
